Class: Next Steps Knitting

This class is for those who know how to cast-on, knit and purl. 

We will be making the Sarah’s Shawl which is a basic pattern, perfect for the moving on beginner! Learning to knit this shawl will help you learn how to read a pattern, use circular needles and shape your knitting.

You will receive:

  • Copy of the pattern

  • Circular needles, 4mm, 80cm

  • 1 skien of Malabrigo Rastita Merino, hand-dyed wool

    We will look at:

  • Understanding basic pattern terminology and how to read a pattern

  • Abbreviations

  • How to use circular needles for knitting flat, and in the round

  • How to shape your knitting

  • Increasing

  • Decreasing

  • Substituting yarn

 This class will take place near the Tonbridge High St. Location to be confirmed closer to the date.
