Class: Fair Isle for Beginners

BEGINNERS FAIR ISLE

SATURDAY, 3 FEBRUARY

10AM-1PM

For knitters who can already knit and follow a basic knitting pattern. 

Participants will learn how to knit working several colours simultaneously by stranding the yarn behind the right-side of the work.

To summarise the techniques you will learn are:

Fair Isle: working with two colours simultaneously

Stranding and weaving of yarn floats

Reading Fair Isle graphs

Materials: For this class, several balls of wool are included.

Please bring needles in a size that you think will give you a good tension with a 4 ply yarn, you may wish to bring a selection (2.75 - 3.25mm is typical)

 

This class will take place at the Tonbridge Old Fire Station.
