Fasta with Rasta Hat

I have been desperate for a warm wooly hat. I know as a knitter I should really already have one.

With the help of the lovely Sarah Goodwin who has written several of the patterns in our shop and taught most of our classes, we now have a pattern and some delicious Malabrigo Rasta SUPER CHUNKY yarn to make the perfect hat.

Using just 1 skein of the Malabrigo Rasta, you can have a hat in just a few short hours.

I knit mine using 10mm circular needles, but Sarah has written the pattern for straight needles too, if you prefer.

The great thing about this pattern is you can adjust it to how you wear your hat. If you want it slouchy, just don't fold the brim (picture 1 on the left). or you can fold it and double up on the ear coverage (picture 4 on the right).

I added a few extra rows into the body as I'm quite a tight knitter. This makes it a bit longer which I think is always a plus in a hat.

I had a bit left over and probably could make a small pom pom to add to the top.

Happy knitting!
